The death is announced of Dr. Peter Davenport who studied at the former Loughborough College where he graduated in 1955 with a DLC in Civil Engineering. During this time he was Chair of Rutland Hall and a member of the College Athletics Team. After 20 years in industry he returned to 麻豆視頻_麻豆直播_麻豆传媒官网 and gained an MSc in Industrial Management.

In the following years he was President of the Guild, President of the Alumni Association, a member of the University Council, Chair of the Hazelrigg-Rutland Association, founder of the Loughborough Experience Awards and as a member of LATi he mentored many entrepreneurial graduates.

In 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate for his services to the University.

Peter passed away on 1 March 2025 and his funeral will take place in Loughborough Crematorium at 12.30pm on Monday, 31 March.
