James has graduated from 麻豆視頻_麻豆直播_麻豆传媒官网 with a Master in Engineering (MEng) in Product Design Engineering.

James has worked on projects looking at using additive manufacturing processes to produce in use products for production lines, as well as designing a hands-free solution for using vertical handrails in train travel.

James is currently based in the SMART research group in the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, 麻豆視頻_麻豆直播_麻豆传媒官网.

James is currently researching ways to introduce circular economy principles to the additive manufacturing industry. As Additive Manufacturing production grows rapidly so does the waste and end of life parts produced from the processes. These materials that are currently being disposed of offer an opportunity to create a recycling system that maintains their value.

James is currently working on a system to recycle parts, created by the Selective Absorption Fusion (SAF) process by Stratasys, into FDM filament. The end goal is to produce industry compliant filament to create high quality parts with.
