Black History Month: A People's History of 'Race' and Racism in Modern Britain

Can you guess what ordinary people thought about 'race' relations in twentieth-century Britain? How racist were they, or rather, how racist did they say they were?
In this session, you'll participate in an interactive quiz that asks you to predict how people responded in surveys and opinion polls conducted from the 1920s to the 1990s. Their answers range from the disturbing to the perplexing and may change your perspective on the origins of today's attitudes to migration and ethnicity.
Loughborough historian Prof Marcus Collins hosts the session as part of this year's Black History Month events.
